By accessing or using tasteful.md ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and tasteful.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
tasteful is a web application for creating, editing, and sharing markdown configuration files that power AI agents, including files such as soul.md, memory.md, persona.md, goals.md, and similar documents. The Service allows you to organize these files into projects, make them publicly shareable via link, and connect AI agents to your projects through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or plans in the future, with reasonable advance notice.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
To use the Service, you must sign in using a supported authentication method (currently Google OAuth or email/password). You are responsible for:
You may not share your account credentials with others, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or use another person's account without their permission. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, or that violate these Terms.
You retain all ownership rights to the content you create on the Service ("Your Content"). tasteful does not claim any ownership over Your Content. You are solely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, any of Your Content that you create, upload, or otherwise make available through the Service, regardless of its form.
By uploading or creating content on the Service, you grant tasteful a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, reproduce, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and providing the Service to you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where Your Content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.
When you make a project public, you grant all users of the Service and all visitors a non-exclusive, worldwide license to view, access, and use Your Content through the Service's intended functionality (including viewing public project pages and accessing content via MCP). Your username will be displayed on public projects. You understand that public content may be indexed by search engines and accessed by AI agents with valid MCP tokens.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you own Your Content or have obtained all permissions and licenses required to use it on the Service; (ii) Your Content does not violate, infringe, or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; (iii) Your Content is not unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful; and (iv) Your Content does not contain malicious code, prompt injections, or instructions designed to cause harm when processed by AI systems.
We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any content that, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, any applicable law, or the rights of any third party. Where possible, we will notify you before or promptly after removing content and provide an explanation.
The Service allows you to generate MCP tokens that grant AI agents access to read and modify your project files. You are solely responsible for:
Raw token values are displayed only once at the time of creation. We store only a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) and cannot recover or display the raw token after creation.
Content created or modified by AI agents through MCP is treated as Your Content and is subject to all the same terms. You are responsible for reviewing, validating, and taking ownership of any content written to your projects by AI agents. tasteful does not review, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content generated or modified by AI agents.
AI agents connected to the Service via MCP tokens act on your behalf. You agree that any actions taken by an AI agent using your MCP tokens are attributed to you and subject to these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy.
You agree not to use the Service, directly or through AI agents, to:
The Service, including its design, code, visual elements, logos, and documentation, is owned by tasteful and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use tasteful's branding, logos, or trademarks without prior written consent. You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the Service's design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or visual elements without express permission.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant tasteful a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that Feedback into the Service without obligation to you.
If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us with the following information:
We will respond to valid copyright complaints and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may export Your Content at any time through the Service's built-in download features or via MCP. Your data belongs to you, and we will not hold it hostage.
We retain Your Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or your account, we will remove the associated data from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe. Residual copies in backups may persist for a limited period but will not be actively used or shared.
The Service relies on third-party providers for authentication, database hosting, infrastructure, and other functionality. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers where applicable. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove Your Content in accordance with our data retention practices described above.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination. In cases of severe or repeated violations, we may terminate immediately without notice.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
tasteful does not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (b) the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable; (c) Your Content will be preserved indefinitely; or (d) any content created or modified by AI agents through the Service will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
You acknowledge that AI agent configuration files created or hosted on the Service may influence AI behavior in unpredictable ways. tasteful is not responsible for any actions taken by AI systems configured using content from the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TASTEFUL, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO:
IN NO EVENT SHALL TASTEFUL'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO TASTEFUL IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless tasteful and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (e) actions taken by AI agents using your MCP tokens.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and tasteful regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
The failure of tasteful to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by tasteful.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. tasteful may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights. Nothing in these Terms is intended to confer rights on any person or entity other than you and tasteful.
